Milca M. Journet Beltran LCSW
I recently opened my private practice where my goal is to specialize in anxiety and OCD. Additionally, I’ve worked as a therapist in a psychiatric hospital, providing therapy and crisis support for veterans, teens, and adults in a compassionate, safe space. I also support students with emotional and behavioral challenges at a behavioral school, offering care and guidance to help them grow. At the school level we tend to have more OC related disorders.
I’m certified in MATCH (Modular Approach to Therapy for Children and Adolescents), an evidence-based treatment that addresses multiple issues, not just one. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, or disruptive behavior, this approach will help your child or adolescent feel better and thrive.

I attended the BTTI training for OCD and I’m in the process of receiving consultations.
I work with a diverse population of students and their families at the school, providing support tailored to their unique needs. Additionally, I serve clients at a private practice, where I offer personalized care to individuals from various backgrounds. My experience in both settings allows me to understand and address the specific challenges faced by individuals from diverse cultural, social, and familial contexts.
I am a Puerto Rican native, fluent in Spanish, who relocated to the United States in 2012. With a background in cultural competencies, I have focused on LGBT+ and minority issues throughout my education. I currently volunteer with Peer Support Space, supporting the LGBT+ community, and facilitate a Spanish-speaking group for caregivers of family members with disabilities or mental health needs. These experiences have equipped me with the skills to advocate for marginalized communities, fostering inclusion and support for individuals facing unique challenges. My goal is to empower others through empathy, understanding, and advocacy.
