Michelle Witkin PhD
I’ve been a licensed psychologist since 1996 and my practice serves children, adolescents, adults, and families, the majority of whom are impacted by OCD and related issues. I provide individual, family, and partners work around OCD and anxiety disorders. I also meet patients outside of the usual sessions, as needed, including in-home and in the community. I am dedicated to making treatment a collaborative effort where a person feels they have input into their own recovery.
I have been treating OCD for over a decade and my practice is mostly individuals with OCD and related issues. I’ve attended both general and pediatric Behavior Therapy Training Institutes offered by the IOCDF, as well as ongoing conferences and workshops. I engage in ongoing consultation with senior clinicians (including with a member of the IOCDF Scientific/Clinical Advisory Board). I am a Clinical Fellow of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, where I participate in additional workshops on OCD, and I am trained in using Supportive Parenting of Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) with parents of children with OCD.
I aim to make my practice welcoming to people of all backgrounds. My patients represent different family constellations, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, beliefs, and cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
