Sarah Weiss LCSW
About 60% of my clients have OCD/OC related disorders including OCPD. I offer ERP to my clients who suffer from OCD which involves gradually facing feared thoughts and situations with the support of a therapist (exposure), while at the same time resisting strong urges to engage in compulsive behaviors (response prevention). I also integrate mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches into our work with clients when appropriate.
I am a licensed clinical social worker trained in Exposure Response Prevention for OCD as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as other mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches. Prior to starting my own practice, I was the senior clinician at Flatiron CBT for two years. I have trained in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient hospitals, schools, community mental health clinics, and private group practice across the New York City area including Lenox Hill and Bellevue as well as a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and associate program director for mental health at The Institute for Family Health.
