Clinical services focus on providing ERP for individuals with OCD, integrating cognitive therapy, ACT, DBT skills, and motivational interviewing strategies as clinically indicated to tailor treatment to each individual and address comorbid symptoms when present.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
PTSD/trauma-related disorders (integrating principles of Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy), Panic Disorder (utilizing Panic Control Treatment principles & elements of Multiple Channel Exposure Therapy), and other anxiety disorders using a CBT-focused framework.
Nathaniel Van Kirk, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist and currently works as the Director of Inpatient Group Therapy for McLean Hospital and the Coordinator of Clinical Assessment at McLean Hospital’s OCD Institute (OCDI). Dr. Van Kirk completed his post-doctoral training at McLean Hospital’s OCD Institute, subsequently serving as the OCDI’s Administrative Director of Research from 2014-2016. Following 2016, Dr. Van Kirk has continued to treat OCD and related disorders as a Behavioral Therapist at the OCDI and in private practice.
