Narrative of Services:

Since graduating from my doctoral program in August 2017, I have solely focused on treating individuals with OCD, OCD spectrum disorders, and anxiety disorders at various levels of care, ranging from outpatient to residential support. I currently provide individualized, compassionate, and evidence-based treatment for children, adolescents, and adults with OCD, OCD spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, disordered eating, and depression in both English and Spanish. I offer outpatient, 1:1 intensive outpatient, in-home, and parent training sessions. About 95% of my practice is individuals with OCD and OCD-related disorders.

Training Description:

I completed my post-doctoral fellowship and first year of independent practice at the OCD and Anxiety Program of Southern California ( Aug 2017- 2019). I then worked at the McLean OCD Institute at Houston (formerly Houston OCD Program) from August 2019- February 2022. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with OCD and OCD spectrum disorders in an outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential support level. I am also a graduate of the Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI), TLC Foundation’s Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors’s Virtual Professional Training Institute, and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) training program.

Diversity Statement:

Over the course of my career, I have had the pleasure of working with individuals from a range of cultural, racial, ethnic, socio-economic, and religious backgrounds with various lifestyles, life experiences, values, worldviews, and interests. As I am fluent in both English and Spanish, I have experience providing evidence-based treatment in both languages. I have also been able to work with individuals who do not speak either of these languages through the use of a translator. I enjoy collaborating with key members of my patients’ support system, including, but not limited to religious figures, spiritual advisors, & family members.

Being a daughter of an immigrant, I have an appreciation for the impact culture has on us. When researching graduate programs, I felt strongly about selecting a program that would help me to become a multiculturally competent provider. This passion led me to Texas A&M University’s Counseling Psychology Program where I was trained by three psychologists who specialize in diversity and culture specific research. I am consistently seeking trainings (both formal and informal) that allow me to further develop my cultural competence and allow me to better serve individuals of diverse backgrounds.
