Narrative of Services:

Dr. Russell’s patients know him as “Dr. Street.” His caseload is made up of 95 percent of individuals with OCD or maladaptive perfectionism. He has treated hundreds of individuals with OCD of all ages using exposure and response prevention (ERP) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). He’s a co-owner at a specialty private practice treating OCD, OCD-related disorders, PTSD, perfectionism, and anxiety. Dr. Street is well-known in his community as an OCD expert, making several television, radio, and podcast appearances, and as a guest lecturer. No joke: Dr. Street was a professional stand-up comedian for 10 years.

Dr. Russell demonstrates his commitment to diversity by remaining involved in consultation and training to expand and develop competencies in treating multicultural populations.

Dr. Russell was supervised for two years by a leading researcher who specializes in multicultural treatment and competency, as well as race-based trauma. Dr. Russell has received consultation, training, and supervision related to the assessment and treatment of African-American individuals with OCD.

Training Description:

Dr. Russell has over 10 years of specialty training and experience treating OCD, OCD-related disorders, PTSD, and perfectionism. This includes a post-doctoral fellowship at an OCD clinic, two years of supervision and training with a previous member of IOCDF’s Scientific Advisory Board, and regular attendance at IOCDF’s Annual Conference. Additionally, Dr. Russell has contributed to a published manual for the treatment of sexual obsessions and been involved in several published articles researching exposure-based therapies across several conditions. He has dedicated his whole career to treating OCD and raising awareness in his community of OCD.

In-person: Meets monthly every second Tuesday at 5:30 PM EDT (90 minutes)
Virtual (Zoom): Meets monthly every third Wednesday at 5:30 PM EDT (90 minutes)

The Relapse Prevention Group (formerly named “OCD Relapse Prevention Group”) is the longest running group at River City OCD Clinic (8 years). It is a monthly group for individuals who have completed treatment and want to maintain progress, build consistency, and connect with others in the community with shared experience. Option to Join via Zoom or In-person (see details below)
