Narrative of Services:

I offer therapy and assessment. Approximately 1/3 of my practice is focused on OCD or related issues. I also offer a general practice that includes family of origin issues, grief/loss, parenting, divorce/separation, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, attachment (infant and throughout lifespan).

I also work with depression, other anxiety disorders, and when I am working with children and youth I focus on parenting strategies- paying particular attention to parental anxiety that could be creating/sustaining their children’s anxiety. Psychoeducation, CBT and Attachment theory informs my practice.

Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels: No

Training Description:

I myself have OCD and therefore have engaged in extensive therapy- some helpful, some not- to manage my own anxiety. I then completed approx 2-3 years of ongoing consultation with a senior clinician who completed her training at the Harvard Clinic. I have attended IOCDF conference, and keep up to date with current research. I learn a lot from my clients as well!

Diversity Statement:

I also work with gay, lesbian, transgender, queer, bi, etc populations.

My practice is quite diverse regarding sexual and gender orientations. Sadly Calgary is not a particularly culturally diverse city, and being in private practice means that my clientele are frequently of a certain SES and are predominantly white. I have a small portion of clients from other cultures/ethnicities. I consider myself to be very open and aware regarding cultural differences. I have had quite a bit of experience working within the Deaf Community- although I would still require an interpreter for therapy.
