I treat all types of anxiety disorders using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and adapt CBT strategies to the specific anxiety disorder.
I specialize in Borderline Personality Disorder, and I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I also specialize in treating trauma with a stand-alone diagnosis of PTSD, as well as when PTSD is co-occurring with other symptoms, and I have advanced training in Prolonged Exposure (PE) and DBT-PE.
I offer Exposure and Response Prevention treatment for OCD. I include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches to exposure treatment. It is highly important to have skills to identify emotions and tolerate the distress of exposures (DBT), as well as to do exposures that fit your values and goals in order for treatment to be most effective (ACT).
I understand the vulnerability it takes to participate in therapy and that it is essential to have a trusting and accepting relationship. I strive to offer a setting that is inclusive and welcoming of all genders and cultural backgrounds and to be attentive to individual needs and differences when structuring treatment.
