Kevin Majeres MD
My practice focuses on treating patients with anxiety disorders, and among these OCD is the most common. After educating patients about the nature of OCD, I begin ERP with imaginal exposures, then progress as needed to in vivo exposures. At times I will use d-cycloserine to help accelerate habituation to anxiety during exposures. Work on mindfulness and acceptance usually follows this initial phase.
I was trained in ERP at the Beck Institute in Philadelphia, and have a private practice that specializes in treating OCD and panic disorder. I have also received training in using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for OCD. I teach weekly and monthly courses in using behavioral therapy for anxiety disorders to residents and medical students at Harvard Medical School.
