Dr. Lewis uses a cognitive-behavioral approach, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), in her treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. She began working with patients diagnosed with OCD in 2006/2007 beginning with a young patient with PANDAS. This led her to specialize in treating OCD and related disorders with the majority of her caseload focused on OCD, Tic disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and Body Focused Repetitive Disorders. Her current group practice also has other psychotherapists trained in ERP as well as many psychiatrists and ARNPs to whom she refers.

Dr. Lewis received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Florida in 2001. Beginning in 2007, Dr. Lewis received specialized training in OCD through the IOCDF’s BTTI program as well as further training from the Tourette Syndrome Association’s BTTI program on Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT). Her previous clinical positions also include a clinical fellowship at Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, and postdoctoral clinical training at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.
