Narrative of Services:

My practice is primarily focused on OCD recovery. I have treated hundreds of adults, teens, children with OCD, and I have helped many families to learn how to support their loved ones through the process of overcoming OCD.

Therapy with me is a safe, relaxed, place where you can be understood You are the most important part of your treatment. Because you are unique, I prioritize creating a comfortable and safe therapeutic environment for you to gain the confidence to confront OCD. My goal is to help you to feel better today and go on toward a brighter future.

Training Description:

I have been extensively trained in ERP treatment over a period of several years. I have received hundreds of hours of supervision and consultation on treating OCD. I have been an OCD specialist since 2019. I have advanced knowledge and am currently a clinical supervisor who provides training and supervision to other therapists learning to treat OCD.

Diversity Statement:

I specialize in helping families to understand and learn to manage OCD using their own unique cultural strengths. If you are new to therapy or afraid to start treatment, please know that culturally competent therapists are available to help you feel safe and receive the help you deserve.

Throughout my career in psychology I have focused on making sure that mental health treatment is inclusive of all people from all backgrounds. As an African American woman with lived OCD experience, I know how critical it is for a therapist to be able to understand your worldview so that you can be properly diagnosed and treated. I have experienced being misdiagnosed and mishandled because a therapist did not understand my cultural context. This is important from the start of treatment and I use the utmost care to make sure your treatment is customised to YOU.

Treatment Groups:

I offer several small OCD treatment groups for adults, families supporting children with OCD, African Americans with OCD and a BIPOC OCD group. Groups are limited to 4-8 people for a personal touch. Meetings are ongoing and groups are created on an as-needed basis when clients show interest.
