Brenda Kijesky LCMFT, LMFT
The Center for OCD and Anxiety at Sheppard Pratt
My practice is 100% focused on treating OCD and related anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, and BDD. I employ mindfulness-based CBT, exposure with response prevention (ERP) emphasizing inhibitory learning, cognitive restructuring, and elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am also a trained RO DBT Practitioner. I offer weekly outpatient treatment for adolescents and adults. In addition to providing outpatient care, I treat OCD and related disorders with residential patients at The Retreat (adults) and The LifeLaunch (teens). I see clients in my Maryland office and online throughout Maryland.
Trained at The OCD and Anxiety Center of Greater Baltimore by a noted authority on OCD, I have specialized in the treatment of OCD, related obsessive-compulsive disorders, and anxiety disorders since 2016. I received my M.S. in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College and my MBA from LaSalle University’s School of Business, both in Philadelphia, PA.
Sheppard Pratt’s mission is to improve the quality of life of individuals and families by compassionately serving their mental health, addiction, special education and community support needs. We participate in regular trainings in cultural competence and inclusion, implicit bias, and supporting the LGBTQ+ population for whom we care. I have experience working with non-binary and transgender clients, including supporting them through transition.
