My practice is highly specialized in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders, with the majority of my caseload focused on OCD and OC-related conditions. I have extensive experience treating individuals with a wide range of OCD presentations. Treatment is grounded in exposure and response prevention (ERP) and tailored to each client’s symptom profile and goals. I work with adolescents and adults and provide structured, evidence-based care designed to support meaningful and lasting change.
I treat co-occurring anxiety disorders alongside OCD, including generalized anxiety, panic, and phobias. Treatment is structured and primarily centered on exposure and response prevention (ERP), while also incorporating ACT and mindfulness-based strategies. We focus on reducing avoidance, eliminating compulsive behaviors (including mental rituals), and building tolerance for uncertainty and distress. Sessions are active and goal-oriented, with clear expectations for between-session practice. When co-occurring anxiety is present, it is addressed within the same framework, ensuring treatment remains focused, efficient, and aligned with evidence-based approaches.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of clinical experience treating anxiety disorders and OCD. I completed advanced training in exposure and response prevention (ERP) through the University of Pennsylvania Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety. My clinical work is focused on treating OCD and related conditions using ERP, along with ACT and mindfulness-based CBT. I have experience working with a wide range of OCD presentations and continue to engage in ongoing professional development.
I work with a diverse range of clients across cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds, including individuals from immigrant and first-generation communities. I am attentive to how cultural values, family dynamics, and stigma can shape the experience and expression of OCD and anxiety, as well as impact engagement in treatment. My approach remains grounded in evidence-based care, while being responsive to each client’s cultural context. I also offer services in Farsi, which allows me to support Persian-speaking clients more directly.
My work with diverse populations is informed by both clinical experience and my own multicultural background. I have worked with clients from a wide range of cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds, including immigrant and first-generation communities. I am attentive to how cultural context, family dynamics, and stigma can shape OCD and anxiety, and I adapt treatment while maintaining a strong foundation in ERP and evidence-based care.
