Katy Higgins Neyland PhD
My practice consists of approximately 65% OCD and OC Related Disorders. I perform individual therapy with adolescents (age 12 and up) and adults using ERP, CBT, and Habit Reversal training, along with ACT. Between my three years of graduate training, one year internship, and 4 years in private practice, I have worked with several hundred clients with OCD or OC related disorders.
I have been treating OCD and OCD Spectrum disorders for over 10 years. I received training in the administration of CBT, ERP, and Habit Reversal Training in graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) under IOCDF Scientific Advisory Board Member, John Abramowitz, PhD. I completed my internship in Women’s Mental Health at the UNC School of Medicine. Here I received specialized training in the treatment of reproductive mood disorders (including perinatal OCD) and provided inpatient treatment to women in the nation’s first perinatal psychiatry inpatient unit as part of UNC’s Center for Women’s Mood Disorders.
