Narrative of Services:

I have a small virtual private practice focused on treatment of OCD. I also work full time at the VA Medical Center where I have focused solely on treatment of OCD for the past 3 years.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

With years of experience treating varied conditions, I am comfortable adjusting treatment to ensure any co-occurring disorders are identified and treated. Treatment planning and how to address symptoms is discussed collaboratively with the individual and can be varied based on needs.

Training Description:

I have treated OCD exclusively for the past 3 years. I have 23 years experience at the VA Medical Center where I ran the PTSD team for 8 years, and have led a community treatment team for 15 years. I have trained in OCD with the Behavior Therapy Training Institute and have provided clinical education and mentorship on the treatment of OCD. I am also trained in a number of additional evidence based treatments for insomnia, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and depression.

Diversity Statement:

I thoroughly enjoy working with individuals with diverse life experiences. I bring a deep understanding that who we are, how we identify, and the path we have walked, influences our unique path to recovery.

I have either worked with, or come to know and respect, multiple diverse populations. I have worked with individuals of diverse racial and ethnic groups and completed graduate training in this area. I have worked with individuals of diverse gender identification, faith/belief systems, socio-economic backgrounds, abilities and ages. I work with individuals of diverse sexual expression and those with diverse histories of trauma. I have over twenty years experience working with Veterans (with and without combat exposure) and worked for a period in a correctional setting with sexual offenders. I bring deep respect to all humans I serve.
