Michelle Gomez-Salazar LCSW
I am an online OCD therapist in California and New York. About 90% of my practice is focused on treating clients with OCD, anxiety, and other related disorders. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as my primary treatment modality combined with elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also offer Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) for OCD in my practice.
I have provided therapy to clients experiencing a wide range of mental health issues for the last 10 years. My focus for the last few years has been treating individuals with OCD and anxiety. I have completed post-graduate training in the diagnosis and treatment of OCD through the Cognitive Behavioral Institute (CBI), Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy, and NOCD. I will also be attending the upcoming BTTI session this Dec through the IOCDF. I value ongoing learning and frequently attend consultation groups to support my growth as a clinician.
As a therapist licensed in two of the most populated and diverse states, I have worked with individuals of all different ethnic, racial, sexual, religious, and economic backgrounds. I have specific experience with the Latinx and LGBTQ+ communities. I continue to seek opportunities for cultural competency training and learning via my own research/reading.
