Kristin E. Eisenhauer PhD
River North Anxiety is a specialized mental health practice serving adults with anxiety and anxiety-related disorders such as OCD, Trichotillomania (Hair-Pulling), and Excoriation (skin picking) Disorder.
Dr. Eisenhauer uses evidence-based (research-based) treatment, namely cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure with response prevention (ERP), and prolonged exposure that may be combined with virtual reality technology for specific fears, such as fear of flying. She also conducts exposures outside the office as needed.
Dr. Eisenhauer is a licensed psychologist in Texas. Prior to opening River North Anxiety, she worked at Trinity University for 13 years and the University of Hawaii for 2 years, where she conducted psychotherapy and taught classes.
She earned her MA and PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Akron and her BA from Kenyon College. She is a graduate of the IOCDF Behavior Therapy Training Institute and the TLC Foundation for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors Professional Training Institute. She has also completed specialized training in Cognitive Therapy for anxiety disorders at the Beck Institute in Philadelphia.
