Elizabeth Didie PhD

Elizabeth Didie’s clinical and research background is in OCD Spectrum Disorders – specifically BDD, OCD, and eating disorders. Her work currently focuses on the assessment and treatment of BDD in adults and adolescents, the treatment of eating disorders, the role of interpersonal factors in BDD’s clinical presentation and treatment, and understanding the interface between eating disorders, OCD, and BDD. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Didie provides workshops to health care providers about evidence-based assessment methods and treatment for BDD. She serves as a clinical supervisor to psychology residents and fellows.

Elizabeth R. Didie, PhD is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and a clinical psychologist in private practice. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia in 2003 and completed her internship and clinical fellowship at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. Dr. Didie completed a two-year specialized fellowship at Brown Medical School focusing on the assessment and treatment of Body Dysmorphic Disorder and other OC Spectrum Disorders. She was also a participant in the BTTI and is a member of the IOCDF.
