Mayra Diaz LMFT
Psychotherapist
About 75% of my practice is OCD and related issues. I use elements of CBT, ERP, ACT, and ICBT. I help clients understand the cycles getting them stuck and develop concrete coping tools to overcome their struggles.
I also treat general anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, and phobias. I am the author of the Panic Attack Relief Workbook. I incorporate CBT, ACT, and mindful self-compassion into my work.
I have been a therapist since 2013. I was trained in ERP through the BTTI (Behavior Therapy Institute) and the Cognitive Behavior Institute and a private practice specializing in anxiety. I have also been trained in ACT, CBT, and I-CBT through various settings. I regularly attend trainings and participate in specialized OCD consultation groups. I am the volunteer coordinator for OCD SoCal, the local affiliate the the IOCDF.
