I specialize in the treatment of OCD and related disorders, which make up a significant portion of my practice. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as the primary intervention, integrated with CBT and ACT. I have treated numerous adults with OCD presentations including intrusive thoughts, mental compulsions, perfectionism, and rumination. I provide structured, individualized treatment and collaborate with prescribing providers when appropriate
I have over 20 years of clinical experience, with a primary focus on OCD and anxiety disorders. I have completed formal training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) through workshops, consultation, and ongoing continuing education. I have treated a high volume of adults with OCD across presentations and severity levels, and regularly integrate ERP with CBT and ACT. I continue to engage in advanced training to refine evidence-based OCD treatment.
My practice serves a culturally diverse adult population, including professionals in high-demand fields and individuals from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a bilingual clinician (Spanish and Catalan), I am attentive to cultural influences on symptom expression, stigma, and help-seeking, and I integrate this awareness into structured, evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety.
My approach to cultural responsiveness focuses on how treatment is delivered in practice. I pay attention to factors such as stigma, family expectations, and communication style, and adjust how I introduce and pace interventions like ERP so they are understandable and workable for each client. This includes adapting language, framing exposures in culturally relevant ways, and aligning treatment goals with the client’s values while maintaining a structured, evidence-based approach.
