Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Consultants, PLLC, provides cognitive-behavioral therapy for mood, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, and psychotic disorders. All treatment is evidence-based, using exposure and response prevention as indicated. All treatment is provided virtually via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. The majority of clients served in this clinic have been diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder, trichotillomania, skin-picking disorder, and major depressive disorder.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Consultants, PLLC, aims to create a supportive, collaborative environment to tailor treatment to meet the unique needs of each client. All treatment is evidence-based, focusing on the use of exposure and response prevention, behavioral activation, and cognitive restructuring as appropriate.
Dr. Brauer completed her graduate training at the University of South Florida and her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. She then served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago, acting as the Director of Behavioral Interventions for the Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders Clinic, and the Director of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Training Program within the Psychiatry Residency. In addition to her role at Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Consultants, PLLC, she serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
In pursuit of providing culturally competent and gender-affirming evidence-based care, Dr. Brauer regularly attends continuing education courses provided through reputable providers, including: the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, the American Psychological Association, the Trust.
