Narrative of Services:

Dr. Brandt specializes in the treatment of anxiety, OCD, and related disorders from a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) perspective. She has had specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)/mindfulness-based therapies, and Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBITS) as well as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), including adaptions for anxiety.

Training Description:

Dr. Brandt is a licensed clinical psychologist. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Central Michigan University and completed her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the UCLA Semel Institute and Mattel Children’s Hospital, training within the UCLA Child OCD, Anxiety and Tic Disorders program as well as the UCLA Child OCD Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program.

Formerly a tenured Associate Professor in a clinical psychology doctoral program, Dr. Brandt has taught in a variety of clinical areas, published numerous research articles and book chapters, and regularly presents at national and international conferences.

Her scholarly and community outreach work focuses on improving the access and quality of mental health services for underserved and historically marginalized populations.
