Monique Boswell PsyD
I provide assessment and treatment for OCD. I utilize ERP to support a reduction in symptoms related to OCD. I also employ ACT, DBT skills, mindfulness, and cognitive work depending on the nature and presentation of symptoms and the person’s capacity for treatment.
I trained at UCLA’s pediatric OCD IOP. I have training in assessment for BFRBs (skin picking, hair pulling, nail biting) as well via UCLA’s OCD, Anxiety and Tic disorders clinic as well.
I have experience working with a wide variety of populations ranging in ethnicities, cultures/acculturation levels, sexual orientation, gender identity, and religious beliefs. I pride myself on being caring and supportive of all people.
My training at CLU focused heavily on the importance and impact of diversity on a larger social scale as well as how individual differences impact mental health. Diversity and cultural awareness were woven into each class. The values of diversity, inclusion, and human rights became integral parts of my worldview. I carry this with me as an important aspect of my professional and personal identity.
