Lindsey Benolken LPC
OCD and Anxiety Specialist
My passion is treating OCD and anxiety disorders. I believe that having multiple therapeutic tools is key to effective OCD treatment. My primary treatment modalities include Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am committed to utilizing multifaceted, evidence-based approaches tailored to the individual needs of each client. At the Gateway Institute, we provide a variety of services from individual sessions, to intensive treatment programs, to skills groups.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a decade of clinical experience. I draw on my extensive experience, education, and training to treat OCD and other anxiety disorders in adults and adolescents. I have received formal training and continued bi weekly consultation from OCD Training School.
Prior to becoming an OCD and Anxiety specialist, I worked as a clinical therapist in an inpatient psychiatric unit for adolescents suffering from both substance use and mental illness. This role provided me with the invaluable experience and competence in supporting not only clients in crisis but also their families as a whole. I also provided in-home therapy for at risk individuals and their families.
