Lisa P. Bateman Breslin PhD
I have been in private practice since 2016, and almost 10% of my practice is with clients who have OCD and OC related disorders. Between my 2 year postdoctoral fellowship and 6 years in private practice, I have several hundred clients of all ages who have OCD or OC related disorders.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to treat co-occurring disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety, specific phobias, separation anxiety, panic disorder, body-focused repetitive behaviors (e.g., trichotillomania, excoriation), body dysmorphic disorder, tic disorders, school refusal, depression, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), stress, and eating disorders.
I received my Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of South Florida in 2014. I completed a pre-doctoral internship in which I provided academic, behavioral, and mental health interventions in clinical and school settings. I also became a certified provider of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), as well as a certified instructor of behavioral parent training courses. I then completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Rothman Center for Neuropsychiatry at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Florida, in which I acquired specialized training the treatment of OCD and other anxiety disorders in children, adolescents, and adults using CBT with ERP.
