Approximately 50% of my current practice is dedicated to OCD and related disorders, with the remainder largely focused on anxiety disorders. I have extensive experience working with individuals across a wide range of OCD presentations and severity levels. My work emphasizes evidence-based treatment, particularly Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and is tailored to support gradual, meaningful progress.
I work with individuals experiencing OCD alongside co-occurring conditions such as anxiety disorders (including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, and phobias), depression, and related mood concerns. Treatment is structured around Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), with attention to how co-occurring symptoms may impact engagement and progress. Care is tailored to the individual, focusing on building a clear, manageable treatment plan that supports gradual exposure work while also addressing broader emotional and behavioral patterns
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience treating adolescents and adults with OCD and related disorders. My training includes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based approaches. I regularly participate in continuing education focused on exposure-based treatment and OCD care. I have worked with a wide range of OCD presentations, including contamination fears, intrusive thoughts, scrupulosity, and perfectionism.
I have experience working with individuals from a range of cultural, religious, and identity backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals, people from rural and conservative communities, and those navigating faith-based contexts. My work also includes supporting adolescents, college and graduate students, international students, and professionals in high-demand fields such as healthcare and academia. My approach emphasizes respect for each person’s values and identity, and aims to provide culturally responsive, individualized care.
My approach to cultural competency is informed by ongoing professional training and extensive clinical experience. I integrate cultural awareness into treatment by considering how factors such as identity, values, belief systems, and community context shape each individual’s experience. I aim to provide care that is respectful, collaborative, and adaptable, and I work to ensure that evidence-based treatments such as ERP are applied in ways that align with each person’s background and lived experience.
